Found the ruins of a house which only collapsed in the last few years, probably due to fire and neglect. Halfway to this house is a lovely water feature that straddles the line between falls and rapids as it cascades into a deep, clear pond. The bedrock it rides is fuzzy with thick moss, and a twisting canyon stretches upstream. Many caterpillars are in the trees as every so often, one falls on me and grabs hold.
